Located off Kitti Wake Road in West Columbia, sits a wonderful community called Chestnut Ridge. When visiting this neighborhood one of the first things you will notice is the beautiful, brick entrance. Driving through you can also see that there are only two streets that end into cul-de-sacs, making this a small, quaint community with less than 75 home sites.
The homes in Chestnut Ridge are constructed using vinyl with brick accents. The homes have a traditional or country style and range in size from 1,150 to 2,370 square feet and vary in price from $110,000 to $165,000. Some homes feature a one or two car garage and a privacy fence.
A huge benefit to living in Chestnut Ridge is its convenient location. From either Kitti Wake Drive or St. David's Church Road, you can access Augusta Highway (#1) in less than one mile. This provides residents with a variety of grocery and retail shops nearby.
Recreation is not far away for Chestnut Ridge residents either. West Columbia is home to Carraway Park, Butler Community Park, Fowler Community Park, Reeves Community Park, TriCity Leisure Center, and the Howard Sports Complex. It’s proximity to Columbia gives its residents access to Finlay Park in downtown Columbia, home to a summer concert series and other festivals and events throughout the year. Other popular places for the family include the Riverwalk Park and Ampitheater and the nationally-recognized Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Gardens. And, the Lexington County Tennis Complex and the Lexington County Softball Complex is also close where you’ll discover a huge park/playground for the kids.
Lake Murray is also nearby and offers miles and miles of boating pleasure for all types of boaters and offers excellent fishing and hunting opportunities.
Both Interstates 20 and 26 are less than 3 miles away.
Students will attend Lexington School District One: White Knoll Elementary (2 miles away), White Knoll Middle (1.4 miles away) and White Knoll High. Midlands Technical College and The University of South Carolina are both less than 10 minutes toward downtown Columbia.
